The historical and large archeological site of Butrint boasts hellenistic, roman, byzantine and venetian periods, nestled in a beautiful and natural setting.

Retrace the steps of the legendary Aeneas and many historical and notorious personalities such as Julius Ceasar, Edward Lear, Kruschev and Silvio Berlusconi. After your visit of about one and a quarter hours, accompanied by a local guide, there is time for a refresment break, before travelling on to saranda, where there is time for lunch in the outskirts of the town., before having some free time to wander the streets of saranda. (Refreshments and lunch not included)

Euros are accepted in Albania, but take small denominations - because change will be given in Albania Leks. Good, comfortable walking shoes required.
