This is a day of breathtaking scenery, discovery and amazement!. An opportunity to visit a unique region lying north of Parga...Zagoria.This day will offer you sights you will not forget. Enjoy this day viewing and experiencing this area...the unique traditional stone–built villages of Zagoria and views of the amazing Vikos gorge. En-route enjoy a taster of Ioannina, capital of Epirus and a lovely city set on lake Pamvotis. See the island in the middle of the lake where the tyrant Ali Pasha was eventually captured and assassinated. Our journey takes us to Kipi to view the famous stone bridges of the area and then on to Monodendri (which means single tree). From this traditional village is where we start our walk down the paved path to visit the 15th century monastery of Agia Paraskevi and to gaze over the Vikos gorge. Then we return on foot to Monodendri.
